2017 Flag Football League (9-16 year olds) Registration is Now Open

Greetings Flag Football Fans,

We are excited to be kicking off another season of the 78th Precinct Youth Council Flag Football Recreational League this fall.

In our co-ed recreational league, we will be creating teams from ages 9 to 16 (players age on 9/15/17). There are four divisions:

NFC: 9-10 years old
AFC: 11-12 years old
NFL: 13-14 years old
XFL: 15-16 years old

As in years past, in an effort to balance the teams, we evaluate players before the start of the season and build teams through a draft – where and when will be announced by email and posted on our site.  It is a condition of registering that ALL PLAYERS, including those who have played with us before, be evaluated; those not evaluated will not be placed on a team and will not be entitled to a refund.

To register, go to your account in our registration system. The fee is $220.

On-time registration ends July 10, 2017. Thereafter a late fee of $35 will be charged and there will be no guarantee of placement on a team.

The season will begin September 16 and run through the weekend before Thanksgiving in November. No games will be played Friday, September 29 – Saturday, September 30. Moreover, we will schedule games during Columbus Day Weekend (October 6 – October 8) and Veterans Day Weekend (November 10 – November 12).

All games will be played on the weekends on artificial turf fields – at Van Voorhees field, Washington Park and Pier 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Until schedules are created we cannot say which divisions will play where. Older divisions may have games Friday nights.

* Mouth guards and pocketless pants/shorts are required for all players competing in our flag football program.

Any questions concerning the program can be sent to flagfootball@78pyc.org.

See you on the fields.
